ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

The location is the best in Zanzibar: in Paje, with steady winds 6 months per year (June-September and December - March) , protected by a coral reef which is 2 km away, creating a flat lagoon with 27 degree Celsius water, it's hard to beat. the coral reef has an opening nearby, where advanced and wave riders can go ride. Downwinders are great to organize and really fun.

This is more family-friendly and relaxation side, however for those looking for party, we are located just 10 minutes walk away (by the beach) of great bars and clubs on the beach.

The kite centre is small, family sized and caters to those looking for that extra quality and safety: we do have our rescue boat, top quality gear replaced each year, a boutique, no wind activities such as stand up paddles, kayaks and more.

The hotel and kitesurf center are family-owned and our Kite Centre manager looks after all our guests with extra care of a personalized, luxury, kitesurfing spot.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

11 luxury villas with private pool: one-bedroom, two-bedroom and five-bedroom, each with butler service and over 1500 m2 of privacy, just steps away from the kite centre. There are also 3 Cinnamon rooms, smaller and garden view, with excellent privacy and located near our main pool.

Our 2 restaurants and 3 bars deliver high-end gastronomical cuisine as well as staple food such as fresh seafood and salads.

We use mostly Gaastra and Kitesurfer kites, we have some Nobile boards.

We have stand up paddles, crystal and regular kayaks and more options available.

MORE INFO, HOW TO GET THERE & FAQ

The beach is pure white sand, the spot is extremely kite friendly as there is a large area with no coral, no rocks or seaweed - just pure white sand all the way. The tides make it perfect to kite in different conditions but we never have big waves (they are however accessible by kiting past the coral reef, 2 km away).

We are open December 15th through March 15 the and June 15th through September 15th, yearly.

Characterization of surroundings/region

Zanzibar is a beautiful, authentic, laid back area, where you can experience "the real Africa" with a lot of small bars, and very friendly people on the beach and in villas. The only thing to remember is that it's a majority Muslim country therefore women and men should have shoulders and knees covered if going to small villages or near mosques. Apart from that, bikinis and shorts are absolutely tolerated on the beaches so don't worry about that!

The airport is located 40 km (about 1h away). We do have private transfers available.
