We absolutely loved our stay at Barefoot Guesthouse. The house is magnificent and very welcoming. It’s really super beautiful! Marion is an exemplary hostess. She greeted us when we arrived and made sure to tell us everything we needed to know about what was happening in the area. We took advantage of the common area on the terrace, the swimming pool, the kitchen which was impeccable and well organized. There is also a space to store surfboards and wetsuits which is very practical. We love traveling in this type of sharing house and we love meeting people from everywhere and exchanging ideas, in a less impersonal and warmer environment. It may not suit everyone. There is still an awareness of sharing space and it does not have the intimacy of a hotel. Like any home, you can hear people from room to room and you need to be aware of the noise. We will absolutely return!!

Best place I've stayed in all of Portugal. Everything from Marion welcoming us, making us feel right at home, the kitchen, beautiful selection of tea, gorgeous room, backyard, all of it! The energy in her home is so positive and loving, I really did not want to leave.

This place is something else... I had such a good time there! The host and team are extremely attentive. The house is super fresh and clean, fully equipped, and in a really nice spot in Ericeira, very close to the town but surrounded by nature. Definitely, the place to be.

I’ve been traveling for 10+ years and using various rentals platforms such as airbnb to find nice places to stay. This has been the absolute best find I’ve made. We will definitely be back next time we are in Portugal. Marion, the host is incredibly kind and responsive and genuinely cares about the quality of the experience for her guests. Nothing but positive things can be said about the location, host, cleanliness features and attributes of this rental.
