We are the coolest Hostel in town! With friendly and knowledgeable staff and a large communal area - a great place to meet new people. Excellent location: walking distance to the beach, supermarket, nightlife, restaurants and other attractions. Large rooms with A/C, hot shower, free breakfast and discounts for Tourist Attractions.

At Surf Camp we treat our guests like family and make you feel at home in Costa Rica. Our instructors are locals and have worked with the lifeguards here in Santa Teresa! We provide the most personalized surf lessons for our students to improve every time they are in the sea. Out of the water, we allow you the opportunity to relax, meet new people, and enjoy Santa Teresa to its fullest. ACCOMMODATION TYPES

An international Surfcamp Hostel and a typical 'Posada' in the middle of Santa Teresa, few steps from the beach, in one of the best spots to surf and enjoy the suggestive colors of the sunset on the ocean.
In La Posada, we offer a common area with a billiard and the bar, a lounge atmosphere with videos and music, Hammocks, a communal kitchen, and a swimming pool. 

On each package you can choose the accomondation option that suits you best.

Accommodation option #1: Private Single Room
Every room is equipped with AC, cable TV and private bathroom with hot water. This is a private room just for you.

Accommodation option #2: Double Private Room
The double private room is for two people and equipped with AC, cable TV and private bathroom with hot water.

Accommodation option #3: Shared Dormitory
If you are on a budget, this is perfect for you, the same retreat with the same activities but the accommodation would be in one of our amazing shared dorms. This means a bed in a dorm for 6 people. The dorm has a private bathroom with hot water, AC during the night and cable TV.

- Surf Lessons: Surf lessons we do them with the best local instructors and lifeguards just 100meters from the hostel. We have here the best surf spot of Santa Teresa and Playa Carmen. You will receive all the equipment needed to make the lesson the easiest and funniest possible. The lessons take 1:30hrs and the schedule depend on which tie the instructor thinks is better depending on your surf level.

- Yoga Classes: Yoga lessons we work in a deck that has ocean view call Horizon. The type of Yoga depends on each teacher. Swimming and surfing usually leaves the body tired, Yoga helps you to keep up the intensity and stretch your muscles.

- Day Trips to: Curú National Park, Tortuga Island: The Tortuga Island Tour starts from the Hostel at 8am where the shuttle takes you to Montezuma. From there you get into the boat that drives thorough the peninsula where if you are lucky you may see whales, dolphins and turtles from above until you reach to a snorkel spot of a volcanic rock coral reef. Once you are done snorkeling, you go straight to Tortuga Island to eat some local food and drinks.

- Horse Back Riding: Take a look to Santa Teresa, Mal Pais and Manzanillo beach in the most natural way posible. You will ride through beaches, rivers and forest with the guide of the most capable persons in town. Locals will take you to places only they know and you can only reach hiking or by horse. Enjoy a sunset around beach and jungle roads.

- ATV Waterfall & Adventure: Have some fun riding an ATV through the beach. Playa Hermosa and Playa Zuecos are just a minutes away. Or you can choose to do the 45 minutes ride to Montezuma waterfalls though our jungle road in constant contact with nature. Once there you do just 15 minutes hike until you reach to 3 Waterfalls of 20-12 and 3 meters where if you are brave enough you can jump down.

Santa Teresa
Stanta Teresa, the home of La Posada Surf Camp, is one of the main surf towns in Costa Rica. We have uncrowded waves all year round. The town’s laid-back, authentic Pura Vida vibe makes it the ideal spot for your Costa Rican surf vacation.

The jungle surrounding Santa Teresa is home to many animals making it the ideal adventurous destination.

Ways to get to the camp

BUS: In San José, you can contact "Transportes Cóbano" from Terminal 7-10. This bus takes about 6hrs and leaves at 6 am and 2 pm. If you are near the Airport, is better if you take a taxi to the Villa Bonita Bridge in Alajuela.

FERRY: The Puntarenas Ferry accommodates passengers, but you can also take your car. It travels between the ports of Puntarenas on the Central Pacific Coast and Paquera on the Nicoya Peninsula. The ride takes 70 minutes.

CAR: From San Jose, the fastest road is going to be Route 27 to Puntarenas. At the docks, look for the ferry to Paquera. After getting off the ferry, follow the road to Cobano and then head to Santa Teresa. To the right is Santa Teresa and to the left is Mal Pais.
