Resting in the laid back traditional portuguese fishing village of Luz, the Jah Shaka accommodation is perfect for holiday makers who want to keep their options open.

On the one hand Luz is the ideal place to sit and unwind over a beer watching the sunset into the sea at one of the many beach bars or ocean fronted terraces. And on the other hand, we're only a stones throw from the bustling vibrant town of Lagos with it's lively bars, marina and tourist attractions.

We think we have the perfect mix of both worlds, with a taxi ride to all the nightlife, bars, clubs, and party atmosphere that Lagos has to offer. Both feature all the amenities you'd expect close at hand like supermarkets, medical facilities, spa's, and a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and cafe's for every budget.

CAMP CHARACTER

The Lodge is perfect for surfers on their own, in couples, families and large groups alike. We offer a wide range of accommodation from private rooms,  shared rooms with Seaview Terraces, Luxury Teepees and camping options. Non surfers very welcome, all ages and families!

JOURNEY

Ways to get to the camp

>Direct transfers

Direct airport transfers are the easiest option to get to Jah Shaka and on the whole are only slightly more expensive that public transport. Transfers can be arranged with us before your travel date so you know someone will be there waiting for you at the airport. We have a special discounted rate from our providers from Faro airport for €46 for both ways. If you would like to arrange this service please mention it when booking.

>By Plane

There are three main airports that service the Algarve region - Lisbon, Seville and Faro. For internal european flights Faro is often the best option and offers unbeatable value for the cheapest flights into Portugal. Seville also offers cheap flights from many of the main discount flight companies like Ryan air and Easyjet. Lisbon Airport is normally reserved for international flights from farther a field but a good bus and train service down to the Algarve still makes this journey very possible.

Good value rail links from east and north bring passengers through to Lagos station. 

>By Bus

Lagos bus station delivers passengers from a variety of operators from all over Portugal. Buses are frequent, well maintained and are good value.
