ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

Is a town and resort located on the north east tip of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, facing to the small island of Lobos. At approximately 2 miles (3.2 km), it is the largest holiday resort in Fuerteventura. Corralejo remains a traditional fishing village, but there are also many new buildings and Hotels behind and beside it. Corralejo has managed to retain its original charm and atmosphere, and there are still white sandy beaches in the town centre, where you can 'drop down' and soak up the Canarian sunshine.

Knowing your skill level is a good resource to communicate your experience when taking surf lessons. When a new student arrives at our Kailua surf center we always ask about their current capacity, since he/she perhaps already tried to learn alone or previously took classes at other schools. With that information we can begin to work, developing a program designed to maximize your progress.As well Being able to communicate your current skill and experience to us before you arrive at Kailua Surf Simply allows us to plan your week of coaching to maximise your progress. “Intermediate” can mean anything from a few days, to a few decades of surfing, so instead we use the level 1-3 system. When you’re here, you’ll be learning along side one or two other surfers who are at the same level as you. 

If you are Group of friends, Travel Agency, College/Uni Surfing Club, University College group or any group who would like to have something fun organized for your surf holiday - we have something you would like! We have  fantastic place to stay that can be tailored to your requirements as well as extras outside of surfing that you may want on group activity holidays!  Including BBQ's on the beach in our Sunset Lounge Beach Bar, Mountain Biking Tours, Discovery Tour around the Island with Discovery Jeeps, Stand Up Paddle tour inside the Corralejo Bay Area, or Stan Up Paddle tour exploring Lobos Island’s lagoons. We have experience of hosting and organizing everything  for the group of 50 people of various age ,with special there special needs.
We are able to accommodate the group of 36 people in our 2 surf houses: Bhavana and Ocean dreams (if you are bigger group we can easily accommodate al of you, up to 60 people). The 2 houses are located in center of the Corralejo town and they are next to each other within 10 meters. Both houses have are very close to Super market, restaurants and most important to the beach!

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

1. SURF CAMP FOR BEGINNERS

Have you decided to learn to surf, live near the best wave spots in the north of Fuerteventura and simply enjoy the stay in surf camp Fuerteventura? 2. SURF YOGA

Have you ever dreamt of greeting the sun while doing yoga, catching the waves at the day time, riding skate-longboards, meeting like-minded people from all over the world and recreating at cosy apartments? If yes, then SURF YOGA CAMP FUERTEVENTURA is just for you! Yoga activities take place on the silent beach at the ocean. Our yoga instructor surfs, therefore she knows very well which yoga exercises will help not only to warm the muscles but also to easier stand on a surfboard and relax after surfing. You will be able to improve your surfing skills not only in the ocean waves but also riding a skate-longboard on the roads of Fuerteventura towns. 3. SURF BOARD AND SLEEP

If You feel You are Independent surfer - you can catch waves by yourself, You can read the Waves and the Sea Currents. Than this offer is great for You to escape to Fuerteventura Sleep and Surf every day!!

4. LEARN TO SURF GREEN WAVES

You already can catch white water waves. And now want to progress and Learn to Surf Green Waves, this Surf Camp is designed for those of you that have passed our level beginner course or can catch and ride a white water waves on your own. The Surf Camp will focus on getting to the outside (lineup) in waist high waves and to ride the waves both right and left.

5. GROUP HOLIDAYS

If you are Group of friends, Travel Agency, College/Uni Surfing Club, University College group or any group who would like to have something fun organized for your surf holiday - we have something you would like!

We provide surf materials. 

1. Stand Up Paddle - SUP is very nice to do in Corralejo bay, you can rent a SUP board for 10EUR/hour and go paddling around the Corralejo bay.  Or do a family Stand up Paddle adventure in Lobos island, crossing around amazing sightseeing roads, snorkel in lagoons absorbing fishes and the underwater life.

2. Kitesurfing/Kiteboarding - there is a few kitesurfing spots/beaches close to Corralejo most of them are south from the town on the east coast. First one is a Flag Beach, 5 kilometers south is Glass Beach as well called El Burro. On the west Coast is El Cotillo, its 20 km from the Corralejo. If you would like to rent a kitesurfing/kiteboarding gear you will be asked to prove your Kitesurfing level with IKO or VDWS card. Kite and Board rental for one day is around - 50EUR. The Kitesurfing beginner course of 4 days will cost you around - 400EUR (All the material: kite, board, wetsuit, etc. is included in to the price). 

3. Windsurfing - you can do windsurfing in Corralejo bay, Flag Beach, Glass Beach or in El Cotillo. Windsurfing gear (board and Sail) rental is around 40EUR/Day. Beginner windsurfing course 1 day is 35EUR, 3 days - 135EUR.

Characterization of surroundings/region

Shopping: Consumer goods in Spain are generally cheaper than elsewhere in Europe. The Canary Islands are duty-free, so tobacco, alcohol and perfumes are cheaper than in Europe, but limits on the number of such goods that can be brought off the island still apply. Corralejo has twoshopping centresEl Campanario (the bell tower) and Las Palmeras in the shopping centers you can finda few designer stores ( Zara, Mango, Springfield.. etc) perfumeries. The local weekly artisan market at Shopping center - El Campanario  takes place on a Sunday between 10:00 and 14:00This centre offers live music and entertainment regularly, and Canarian music takes place in the central plaza on Saturday afternoons. In the  main street of Corralejo you will find a variety of shops, some of these are the usual tourist shops selling towels, souvenirs and things for the beach.

Watersports: Fuerteventura is known as the island of the water sports. As it offers all year roundconditions for doing it. Around Corralejo you can find some best places/beaches for water activities.

Activities and facilities

1. Restaurants places to eat. Corralejo offers plenty of restaurants. There are over a 100 restaurants in the resort which cater for pretty much every cuisine on the planet so whether its Chinese, Italian, Tipico Canario, Indian, British or Irish Cuisine you will be spoilt for choice and you will never be too far away from the traditional Sunday Lunch! The best restaurants mainly are situated in the Corralejo bay, facing into the ocean and little Island Los Lobos. 

2. Night life in Corralejo is laid back compared to the other main Canary Islands (Gran Canaria or Tenerife). But for sure is the best in all the Fuerteventura. In Corralejo night party scene takes place in and around the main street. You can visit some live music bars Rock Island, Corner Rock or a surf bar Tequila Beach. The young wild surfer crowd usually do the tour of the surf bars -  starting in Buena Onda surf bar then going to Banana bar or Tequila beach bar (live music form 22:00 - 24:00) and finishing the night in Waikiki discotheque. The party's pretty much the same every evening!

3. Tours, activities: If you are bored of Corralejo you have a perfect one day tour escape to Lanzarote island, its just 20 minutes boat ride from Corralejo port to Playa Blanca. Rent a car in the port and go around the island exploring the Volcano park, diving to the Lanzarote famous Caves of Jameos del Agua. Visit local wineries of Lanzarote.
