LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

Morocco has some of the best surf spots to offer in the world.

With the big variety of breaks along the coastline there’s always great waves for everyone to be found, with a mix of beach break, reefs and point breaks.
The bigger swells starts in October till April and it is ideal for all levels. The smallest swell is during the summer from May to September, but beginners and longboarders would find clean waves all year round.

Imsouan
A small fishing village surrounded by mountains where you will find two spots. The Bay is a beach break with the longest wave in morocco.
Cathedral with both beach and reef break, fast and fun right waves. Best for intermediate and advenced surfers.

Anchor Point
This is the most famous Moroccan surf spot with world class surfing because of the clean lines that works on all tides. This surf break is a mix of sand and reef bottom. Very crowdy then the big swell is comming and it is definitely a “To Do” wave at our morocco surf camp!

Boilers
You can see the boiler of a boat at the start of the wave. This is probably the trickiest and spectacular break around.
Recommended for advanced surfers because it’s very strong and fast right waves that ends up onto a strong shallow reef. Don’t surf this spot without Ocean Surf Morocco local Surf Guide. Often visited by pro photographers for the intensity of pictures taken.

Dracula’s
Rocks sharp like vampire teeth give the name to this point break, one of the most demanding for advanced surfers. With a northerly big swell, Dracula’s can be one of the most perfect point breaks in Taghazout area and the entire Moroccan coastline with fast right’s and long rides Definitely “a must” for experienced surfers

La Source
This is an accessible and funny wave to ride for all surfers. Small reef sections combining with sandy sections provide a clean wave of about 50m to 150m. The name comes from fresh water springs bubbling up from onshore rock formations.

Banana Beach
Banana Point is located near the Village of Aourir, also known as Banana village because of the many banana plantations that are grown in the river bed facing the spot.
It’s a long right hander point break with no current, ideal for all levels!

Devil's Rock
Sand bottom beach break with left and rights, perfect for all levels. Can be crowded on the weekends with locals. nice atmosphere and great cafe on the beach.

Killers Point
Named after the Killer whales that you can see sometimes in the summer. It’s one of the most popular point break for advanced surfers in Taghazout area. You can get long and fast right waves.

Tamri
Tamri Beach is the most consistent surf spot ever. When it’s flat everywhere else, we make the drive north till Tamri. If the sand banks are good, Tamri can be a pretty good beach break as well. But most of all, it works on different tides, depending on the sand banks and on the swell. Very reliable and appropriate to all levels. Besides all that, it’s truly wonderful spot.

Panorama point
Perfect spot for beginners in high tide. Long sandy beach with both left and right waves, but the current can be little tricky to paddle against.

Crocodile
Named because the shape of the mountain looks like a crocodlies head. Various left’s and right waves. A great place for beginners.

Always clean and comfortable accommodations. Choose between Go surf House, Ifri, Sahil or Villa, they all have high quality. 2 – 4 bed sharing room, single or double room.

At Ocean surf Morocco we want you to be comfort, that’s why we have many different accommodation to choose between so you can find the one that suits you the best.
They all have high quality and are decorated in a traditional moroccan style.

Sahil

The rooms are decorated in a colourful, traditional style. Each room has a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries.

You can relax on the terrace or on the sunbed by the outdoor swimming pool. Sahil offers free Wi-Fi, football and pool tables and specious rooms with a TV. Sahil is a 5-minute walk from the beach.

Villa

Villa has furnished and well equipped appartments with two floors and ocean view from the balcony in a peaceful area close to the beach.
The apartment can host 5-10 persons
Villa has free Wi-Fi and a swimmingpool where you can relax when there is no surf.

Go Surf House

Go surf house can host up to 19 persons.
The bedrooms are decorated to create individual experience, there is shared bathrooms. On the first floor you will find a big traditional salon where you can drink some tea or coffee and relax after surf.
The roof terrace with ocean view is equipped with sunbeds to let you relax and have some tan when there is no surf or watch beautiful sunsets.
Go surf house has free Wi-Fi and free parking

Ifri

Ifri has spacious Rooms & apartments with furnished bedroom and livingroom, bathroom and kitchen.
The roof terrace give you a beatiful view of the mountains and the ocean.
Ifri has free Wi-Fi and there is only 7 minute walk from the beach.

Characterization of surroundings/region

Essaouira
Essaouira is a beautiful little town north of Agadir. The city was previously known by the name Mogador. Essaouira is a good place for both wind and kitesurfing. The Berber and Arabic name of the city mean the wall, a reference to the fortress walls that originally enclosed the city.

Marrakech
Marrakech is a major city in the northwest of Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country after Casablanca, Rabat and Fes, and is the capital of the mid-southwestern region of Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz.
Like many Moroccan cities, Marrakesh comprises an old fortified city packed with salesman and their stalls (the medina), bordered by modern neighborhoods, the most well-known is Gueliz.

Paradise Valley
Paradise Valley is a section of the Tamraght River valley in the Moroccan High Atlas mountains. It is located approximately 28 km from our Surf Camp.
The valley is known for its abundance of rock pools and small waterfalls.
Paradise Valley, a beautiful palm-lined gorge and with a river snaking along the base. There’s a well-marked 2.7-kilometre walking trail.
