ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

My name is Steven Bolton and I am the Senior Shareholder of Oceans Group International, the company developing the Red Frog Beach Island Community. As they say in the local native Indian language, “Jutiwe y Jumowe” which translates to “my house is your house!”

We are thrilled that you have come to see what we have to offer, and we hope by the time you leave that you feel like part of the Red Frog Beach family.

We are proud of what we have created here in Bocas del Toro and we are excited about our future. Our vision is to be more than a typical commercial resort.  We are working to be an authentic island community that connects people with each other and nature around them. Since our team took over the project in 2009, we have welcomed thousands of people to Red Frog Beach each year to enjoy this tropical paradise. Our guests and residents fall in love, not just with the views, beaches and wildlife, but also with the people and local culture.

La Rosa Beach Club
Our beach club serves fresh food and offers a relaxing atmosphere with breathtaking views overlooking Turtle Beach. It has a state-of-the-art kitchen that offers an authentic island cuisine with specialty drinks. Come and see the waterfall and enjoy the award winning pool.

Private Chef Services
Your own private local chef will come to your villa and offer you a culinary experience you will not forget. Share with the ones you love. Customized menu is always welcomed and based on costs and availability. Gluten free or lactose intolerant meals can be prepared.

Island Market Deli & Grocery Store
Our grocery store is located just back from the resort’s welcome center and activity desk. It offers a wide variety of food items you can enjoy. Also, the Island Market offers a deli menu to grab something on the go.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

Red Frog Beach Island Resort Spa offers an abundance of outdoor recreation, including stunning beaches, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, and our own zipline. From underground caves to chocolate farm tours and so much more, the Resort offers some of the most unique experiences anywhere in the world.

Isla Zapatilla

The Zapatilla Keys are part of the 13,226 hectares that make up the Bastimento Island National Marine Park. Its famous crystalline waters and golden sands make for a bathers dream place, ideal for lovers of snorkeling and diving. You can find 8 different species of coral reefs, a variety of colored fish, hiking and turtle nesting.
 
Isla Colon

Within the natural wonders of Bocas del Toro there are two sites of unparalleled ecological, landscape and leisure value: Playa Estrella and Playa Bluff.
Playa Estrella is a protected area in close contact with nature where ecotourism and craft activities take place. Its main attractions are its starfish (Oreaster reticulatus), delicious Afro-Caribbean food and the warmth of its inhabitants.
In Playa Bluff, up to four species of sea turtles arrive to nest from July to October. It is a beautiful beach bathed with waves suitable for surfing.
 
Bird & Starfish Island

A true rocky paradise covered with tropical vegetation in the middle of the sea, Swan Cay, as it is also known, is located 45 minutes by boat from Isla Colón. In this bird sanctuary it is normal to observe species of birds such as pelicans, frigates, swallows, the booby bird and the showy tropical bird Rabijunco Piquirojo, which spends the largest part of its life in the pelagic sea but comes to this site to reproduce. If you are a lover of shorebirds, this will be a destination that you will want to return to as most visitors do, dazzled by this wonder of nature.

Red Frog Beach Island Resort offers an exceptional complement of amenities. Begin your adventure with pick up at the airport by a member of our staff via water-taxi. The boat shuttle runs back and forth to Bocas Town (Isla Colon) regularly, or the front desk can arrange for a private water taxi with advance notice.
