SURF CONDITIONS

---

Portugal is a very consistent surf spot, there are waves all year round. It is considered to be one of the most consistent countries to surf.
During summer months (July – September), the water temperature is at about 20 degrees and the air at 20 to 30 degrees. We recommend a 3/2 or 4/3 wetsuit. A shorty also works on hot days.
During winter months (December – February), water temperature cools down to 14 degrees. The air is at 10 to 25 degrees. We recommend a 4/3 wetsuit and surf booties during this time of the year. Plus a hood on windy days.
In mid-season, you are well equipped with a 4/3 wetsuit.

Praia Azul Appartment
Perfect for family & friends surf holidays. We offer Budget apartment + surf course.
The apartments include a swimming pool, private balcony, small garden, cozy bar to chill out after surfing and restaurant in case you go lazy on the cooking, a living room, kitchen, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom; as well as TV, telephone and internet.

Praia Azul Room
Share 1 room, or share an apartment! Surf accommodation from 2 to 6 people, max 2 persons/room. Right at the beach! Swimming pool, bar, small garden to chill out after surfing and a restaurant in case you go lazy on the cooking. With shared living room, kitchen, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom; TV, balcony and internet. 

Santa Cruz Surf Camp
Share 1 room, or get a double room! The accommodation include a swimming pool & garden, many common places of relaxation and kitchen, shared living room, and bathroom; as well as TV, telephone and internet.

Santa Cruz Villa Deluxe
Finesse and peacefulness, surf accommodation just 2 min from the beach. Amazing rooms to sleep after a surfing day, a swimming pool and bar to chill out after surfing, Jacuzzi and a lounge zone to go lazy and charge batteries!
Modern rooms, recently refurbished, yet the villa still has its classic Portuguese character, creating an unique environment for its decor, charm and beautiful garden. 
All the rooms have bathroom and includes kitchen, BBQ; lounge zone,TV, telephone & internet, and a bike station.

Peniche Deluxe
Apartments on an off-season heaven.
Appartments from 2 to 6 people, for friends or family, you can chose between different options. Beachfront, Seaview, swimming pool and tennis court are all possibilities to add to amazing waves.
The apartments have a living room, kitchen, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom; as well as TV, telephone and internet.

SURF COURSE DETAILS

Each lesson is 90 min
Learn how to ride a wave and get tips to help you profit more from the waves – always being in safety, in control and off course having fun!
Or, improve your level of surf (always being in safety and control) and your surf knowledge.

We offer lessons for different levels:

In the BEGINNER surf lessons, we teach you the right take-off technique to make you stand on the board. The goal of the lessons is to familiarize you with the Ocean and waves, to make you feel comfortable in the water and have the feeling of riding a wave.

The INTERMEDIATE surf lessons are for surfers who are already familiar with surfing the whitewater. We want to surf the first unbroken waves with you and try to teach you the first turns. We will give you good tips to get your surfing to the next level.

So you are able to surf green waves and you feel comfortable in waves up to 1.50 m? Then you will be taught in our ADVANCED surf lessons. Your surf coach will go surfing with you and try to spot and correct your mistakes. You will get valuable tips so you get the chance to optimize your surfing and improve your abilities on the board during the time of your stay. Through effective coaching, you will soon be able to do your first turns.

Praia Azul – uncrowded sand bottom beach break and some points and reefs breaks. Santa Cruz Peniche: You have world class wave Super tubos and in Baleal – Lagido, Baia and Cantinho da Baia. Ericeira – famous for world class point breaks, like Ribeira d’Ilhas. But you have also easy waves like Matadouro and other beach breaks. Next to Santa Cruz, and in between the crowded surf towns of Peniche and Ericeira.

Just 45 min from Lisbon airport and 15 min from Torres Vedras, it’s great spot with a great location.
Super relaxing environment, you have party town just 5 min from it.
Just 30 min from the medieval town of Óbidos, in case you want immerse yourself in history.
Bus services run between Lisbon and Torres Vedras or Santa Cruz, making transfers easy should you not come by car.
