Join us at our newly managed Surf House in Santa Cruz, Portugal and get ready for some great surfing and even better times!
Grow in your surfing skills and get into the laid-back Portuguese lifestyle. Enjoy beginner & advanced surf lessons, free-surf sessions with your surf coach and discover some of Portugal’s finest surf spots, all along with the home-grown healthy food that will be served fresh out of the garden!

There is plenty of space to chill and hang out on the backyard terrace overlooking the swimming pool, with amenities like a BBQ, pizza oven, and outside bar! The perfect set up to enjoy the surf life surrounded by like minded people and fellow surfers.

“As traveling through Costa Rica years ago and looking for a good place to crash and settle in for a couple of days, we came across a sign, made of a broken surfboard, in front of a wooden fence that said: Camping with shower and good people. We knew we arrived at the right place.”

From that trip on we started to put things together and thought of a way on how to put that same inviting feel and vibe into what started as a hobby and what would later be our profession.

Working with people that are considered as Family and re-welcoming guests on the trips and camps that belong in that same category is the best thing out there…

You can choose between different stays at the surf house, we have capacity for 30 guests in a variety of settings depending on your needs. There are private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, private rooms with shared bathrooms, glamping tents, and pod-style beds where you have your own nested space with a light and electricity.

For food you will have healthy homemade breakfast and dinner every day with all ingredients locally sourced or from our very own veggie garden. There is a self packed lunch option after breakfast to take to the beach and make sure to do a local coffee & pastel de nata while enjoying your day!

We will indulge you with our amazing BBQ evening and pizza contest while having some cold drinks and local wines served at the fully stocked, pool-side bar, where a €15 drink ticket will get you 8 drinks.

Itinerary:

MORNING
• Wake up to a homely, cooked breakfast down in our chill-out area and exchange stories from last night’s antics, read the surf report and get excited to head out into the waves.
• We’ll warm up with a yoga and stretch session in our garden, before we head to the beach. If you’re not doing a lesson, feel free to grab a bike and explore along the coast for some unreal swells!

LUNCH/ AFTERNOON
• When you’re all surfed out, dig into your packed lunch, or hunt out some Portuguese delicacies at some beachfront eateries.
• Or maybe it’s time to go for a dip in the pool and have a bevvie from our backyard bar. Maybe you want to head out hiking through the dunes, or grab a bike and a board and explore the other spots.
• In the afternoon you will most likely find yourself hanging out at the house watching the sun go down over a few drinks, sharing stories or becoming lord of the ping pong table.

EVENING
• If you’re the sensible type, you can get a good night’s sleep and be up bright and early for sunrise yoga and stretching.
• If some more drinks, music and exploring sound more like you, we can kick on in our backyard with a BBQ and pool party, before exploring the happenings of Santa Cruz or any local festivities that may be on during your stay!

Surf lessons are given by our good friends from the local Surf School who provide lessons for both beginners and the more advanced. Lessons are given in the Santa Cruz area, where we have several beaches to choose from, depending on the conditions per day.
Both surf material and transport are included in the service and you can opt for a 5- or 3-day course.

For those who would like to get the most surfing out of their stay we have the option to rent your own surfboard and wetsuit to be used as you see fit and, in case you come by car, take it to different beaches in the area.

You will have surf material available at the local beach, where we set up camp during the day with several beach activities. We have bicycles and surf skates available to get to the beach or go around town and do some exploring.
