Located on the beautiful coast of Portugal in the beach town of Santa Cruz, Surf Lodge Santa Cruz offers our guests a unique and inspirational surf experience. We provide week-long packages that are carefully designed to showcase the best of what our lodge and our region in Portugal has to offer. You can select from a variety of different packages such as surf & yoga, wellness, or one of our packages that directly relates to improving your surfing skills. We also give you the freedom to build your own personalized package incorporating everything you want during your time with us.
Our highly qualified surf coaches teach and train with all levels from beginners, to intermediate, to even the most advanced surfer. After all, surfing is what you do here in Santa Cruz, and there is little wonder why. We have some of the most pristine, uncrowded and diverse surf breaks in Portugal, so your surfing needs covered no matter what level you are.
The week’s itinerary is completely based around the surf conditions, making sure you get the best waves possible. You’ll start your days with an exhilarating surf session, followed by yoga in our backyard, while ending the evenings with social activities and events.
Breakfast is included daily in the package rates while our private on-site chef serves up amazing dinners every night that's available at cost. Meals at the lodge are eaten communally while we offer free bike usage for those wishing to explore other dining options and evening activities in town.
You’ll enjoy your time off lounging in our backyard garden that comes with a private swimming pool for you to relax in after a long day at the beach. It’s the perfect place to lay in one of our hammocks with a book, or play basketball or table tennis with friends. Either way, you’ll have plenty of time to simply enjoy the warm sun and have fun at our weekly BBQs that fill up your energy at night.
We also offer our guests the option to take day trips to places such as the medieval town of Sintra and the historical town of Obidos for you to get in close contact with a different side of Portugal. If possible, we can even organize a trip to watch the famously big waves of Nazaré with the possibility of catching surf contests that take place during the summer season.
Our goal here at Surf Lodge Santa Cruz is to facilitate a location that improves our guests surf level while also providing an atmosphere that forms and bonds friendships and creates lifelong memories. We’re the perfect place to refine your passion for surf, deepen your yoga practice, recharge your soul, and be in a place that has endless surf possibilities.

Week-long package (per person) with 1 bed in a 6-bed room with shared bathroom. Includes accommodation in the chosen room, breakfast with tea and coffee, first dinner on arrival day, free use of garden and private pool, bedding and towels, free Wi-Fi, and free use of bikes. Optional add-ons: Surf Course Package EUR 249/week (15h surf lessons in the water, 2-3 supervised free surf sessions, video coaching, surf theory, surfboard and wetsuit, transfers to surf spots); Yoga Package EUR 30 (four classes); Dinner Package EUR 59 (3 dinners plus 1 BBQ, aperitif/water and one drink per meal).
Bed in a mixed 6-bed dorm room with private bathroom and direct garden access. Includes breakfast with tea and coffee, a welcome dinner on arrival day, bedding and towels, free access to the pool and garden, plus free bike use and WiFi. Additional dinners can be booked as an optional extra.
Room for four people (bunk beds, or two single beds plus one bunk bed) with private bathroom and access to a shared balcony. Includes breakfast, a welcome dinner, bedding and towels, pool and garden access, plus free bikes and WiFi.
One-week stay at the surf house in a four-person dorm room with private bathroom, during the low season. Self-catering, no meals included.
