Wind surfing is definitely one of the most awesome sports! But to wind surf in Sri Lanka means feeling the elements, becoming connected to nature by discovering your own limits! One of the best Sri Lankan Wind surf champions, Upul De Silva, established the Resort in 2012. More than 25 years of wind surf experience, more than 10.000 students in Europe, hard work and never ending love for water sports made him successful! At our windsurf station you get everything you need and we equip you with the right gear to learn wind surfing and kite surfing in Sri Lanka!
In 2018 DE SILVA reached a new milestone and won the last Sri Lankan tourism award in the category “best water sport center”!
We offer lessons and courses in wind surfing and kite surfing in a resort located right by the beach.

ABOUT THE SURF CAMP
LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS
The resort is located directly at the beach, perfect kite and wind surfing location for all levels!
CAMP OPERATOR
The resort is run by Upul De Silva, one of Sri Lankan best windsurfers (National Champion, Asian Games 2006), who established De Silva Windresort in 2012. More than 25 years of windsurf experience, more than 10.000 students in Europe, hard work and never ending love for watersports made him successful!
ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING
ACCOMMODATION TYPES
At De Silva kite hotel we offer rooms for every budget, many leisure activities, traditional dishes and fresh delicacies, a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds and hammocks and an Ayurveda massage center. The hotel is located right at the kite-spot!
Room type options include private rooms in different sizes with air condition, a private bathroom and a terrace or room in the guest house with a shared bathroom. Towels, linen and mosquito net included in all rooms, bring your own beach towel. The resort has wifi connection and a swimming pool. Certainly your will have a unique stay in our kite hotel in Sri Lanka!
CATERING
Breakfast included in the room prices, full board optional. There is a restaurant and a bar by the hotel, no self-catering possibilities. Note that as our resorts are run by Buddhists we do not serve beef or pork ever since. There are a lot of alternatives you will get served which are even more tasteful!
SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
SURF COURSE DETAILS
Courses and lessons for all levels, maximum of 6 students per instructor.
SURF MATERIALS
All courses include equipment & accessories (harness, life-vest, helmet and shoes). Bring your own swim suit and towel. Equipment rental also possible.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
We offer one day and overnight sightseeing tours around the nearby areas by professional guides. Other offered activities include for example stand up paddle, yoga and SUP yoga. Vehicle rental also possible. Diving is possible in the nearby areas.

Ways to get to the camp
Airport transfer can be arranged for 70€/transfer, duration about 2,5 hours, maximum of 5-6 persons/car.
