ABOUT THE SURF CAMP

LOCATION AND SURF CONDITIONS

Go4Surf school and lofts are located at Travessa da Exportadora,2520-497 Peniche really close to the beach less than 30 seconds by foot and every afternoon beutiful sunsets that you can watch from the beach or from the lofts.The school is 5 minutes by foot far away from a exelent surf spot (middle of the bay) and 5 minutes by car or 15 by bicycle far away from supertubos beach which have the best tubular waves of the world. In the shcool we check the various surf spots nad decide which one is the best to surf on the day. The school and lofts are also near a big supermarket (INTERMARCHE) and just next to a restaurante with good food.

CAMP CHARACTER

Our target groups are everyone how wants to learn how to surf and have a good and fun time.The camp is good for everyone and we keep it family like where you can relax and enjoy a lot of good waves.In Go4surf lofts every animal is accept as a guest and it iss welcome.The main language of the camp is Portugues , but we also speek french english spanish and italian.

Our average age of group participants are arround 30/35.

CAMP OPERATOR

The owners are Jorge Costa and Alexandre Barbaro it all began with a great passion with the ocean twenty years ago, I allways lived by the sea and grow up with it and allways had surf in my heart, all started giving surf advises to friends and helping them getting better and better ,later in life I took a surf certificated by the federation of surf in Portugal (fps) to be a surf teacher and theach others that surf isn´t just a sport but a remedy for life so Jorge and I went on a amazing jorney of teaching everyone who wanted to surf how to surf seying them as our family and friends who just needed some help to start their passion for surf.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

The accomodation in Go4Surf Lofts are like and apartment T0 where you have a wonderfull room mixxed with a kitchen and have a big privated bathroom every room has a great location to enjoy the beach at any time you want.There is free wifi for everyone in the rooms and a Tv, the rooms are only equipped with european electrical plugs. The room as plenty of space to keep any valuables, the rooms aren´t adapted to smorkers. In the bathrroms there are towels that you can change at any time and a hair dryer.

CATERING

Every loft is equiped with a kitchnet and their is a big supermarket just 1 minute away by foot with not very expensive food.There is one restaurant just next to surfschool Go4Surf, and by 10 minutes by foot you can find ribeira with a lot of different restaurants and variuos dishes from Portugal.

SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES

SURF COURSE DETAILS

The surf courses are of 4 persons per instructor and the group courses are not bigger than 8/9 persons, the courses are Schedule depending on the waves and tide of the sea and have a totla duration of 2 hours of pure hapinness.for every level of surfing skill there is a diferente goal setted by the instructors. The courses are allways at the best place to learn how to surf and there is no problema if the course is not near the school because we have a van and there is no aditional price for having a course in another beach in which the conditions are better at the time.The courses are manly in english but if only portugueses on the course the course will be in portuguese.Everyone can join the courses even if they are not staying in go4Surf lofts.

SURF MATERIALS

The material using during hthe lessons are a Wetsuit and a Surfboard witch both are chosen singulary for every person and adapted to their surf level.The participants have to bring themselfes a lot of energy.The material of the lesson can be rented afterwards by and aditional fee add to the lessons package.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Kite surf lessons - 30€ per person

Paddle lessons - 25€ per person

Surfboard/bodyboard rental depends on how long you want to keep it - 20€ a day 

Wetsuit renta - 10€ a day

Longboards (skates) - 8€ a day

Seasonal conditions

Water is a bit cold all year but with a wetsuit on you will be in a surf Paradise, there is  weak wind offshore more often ,waves of 2 or 3 meters.

Crowd factor and local people

The gamboa beach is a bit crowded after the luch time but on the moring a very calm place .

Supertubos or baleal are a lot more crowded all the time.the locals share their waves they are good people.

Characterization of surroundings/region

Peniche is a peninsula surrounded by waves waiting to be surfed. In addition to being the best place in Portugal and in Europe for the practice of Surf has a fantastic atmosphere due to all international visitors and residents, always with open arms to receive them.

A surf resort like this in Europe is hard to find, is perfect for a very productive Surf holidays.

It is in Peniche that organizes the famous Rip Curl Pro Portugal in the famous Supertubos wave, then call the Peniche capital wave. In this event we can see the best surfers in the world.

A lively nightlife, very targeted for surfing all year round but with incidence in the summer months, a gastronomy where fresh fish is featured, the visit to the island of Berlenga just 10 km from the coast of Peniche is key. If you are just 80 km from the capital to experience another culture and gastronomy, Lisbon is recognized as one of the most interesting capitals in Europe and worldwide

Ways to get to the camp

It is very easy to get at Go4Surf surfcamp because we are just 5 minutes by foot away from the bus statio, and we also have transfers from the airport or any nearby train station.

If you land in lisboa it takes about 2 hours to arrive in Peniche taking the subway and afterwards the bus to Peniche , otherwise if you want to take a táxi i recommend using our transfers because it is away more cheeper and táxi cos tis arround (150€/170€).

Important details

The visa is not required in the surf camp the bus from lisbon to Peniche is arround 8€ per pax, and the subway of Lisbon is arround 2€ per pax, the public transports are mostly on time.

PACKAGES & PRICES

PACKAGE A - 5 day trip from 150 € per Person

A five day course with accomodation in our surfcamp , in the first day you will have two lessons a first one more theoric introducing you surfing knowelge and a second one the same day starting practising, each lesson with a duration of 2 hours, then you will have the rest of the day to go to the beach and relax for the next day. On the second day you will have the third lesson of practising again and the rest of the day free so you can rest a bit for the third day. On the third day you have the fourth lesson of surf and in the afternoon the first lesson of stand up Paddle. The fourth day you will have one more surf lesson before the big day and some vídeo analysis of yourself surfing. On the last day there is a surf guide arround various beaches that will be all day long. 

This amazing trip of 5 days as a cost of 150€, and if you want on the final day after the surf guide have a dinner with the instructor and the family from the school there is an aditional 25€ to the package.

Only Accommodation A - from 50€ per night for 2pax

The accomodation of the “Papoa” loft is 50€ per night for 2pax the loft is in the 1st floor 10 meters away from the beach and has a private bathrrom and a kitchen and free wi-fi.

If you rented the room for 3 days there is a 5% disccont.

If you rented the room for 10 days there is a 10% disccont.

If you rented the room for 15 days there is a 15% disccont.

Only Accommodation B - from 50€ per night for 2pax

The accomodation of the “Gamboa” loft is 50€  per night for 2pax the loft is in the 1st floor 10 meters away from the beach and as a private bathrrom and a kitchen and free wi-fi.

The accomodation of the “Almagreira” loft is 65€  per night for 2pax the loft is in the 2nd floor 10 meters away from the beach and as a private bathrrom and a kitchen and free wi-fi.

If you rented the room for 3 days there is a 5% disccont.

If you rented the room for 10 days there is a 10% disccont.

If you rented the room for 15 days there is a 15% disccont.

Only Accommodation D - from 70€ per night for 2pax

The accomodation of the “Supertubos” loft is 70€  per night for 2pax the loft is in the 2nd floor 10 meters away from the beach and as a private bathrrom and a kitchen and free wi-fi.

If you rented the room for 3 days there is a 5% disccont.

If you rented the room for 10 days there is a 10% disccont.

If you rented the room for 15 days there is a 15% disccont.

Only Surf Course A

 Our first Package is three courses of surf where you can do 1 per day in our group courses, the group will not have more than 4 pax per instructor and the groups are not bigger than 8/9 pax.

The price for the three courses is 65 € per pax.

Only Surf Course B

The package of six courses of surf, where you can do 1 course per day in our group courses, the group will not have more than 4 pax per instructor and the groups are not bigger than 8/9 pax. 

The price for the six courses is 115 € per pax.

 Only Surf Course C

The package of twelve courses of surf where you can do 1 per day in our group courses, the group will not have more than 4 pax per instructor and the groups are not bigger than 8/9 pax. 

The price for the twelve courses is 199 € per pax.
