The weather in Maldives is influenced by two monsoons, the northeast monsoon and the southwest monsoon from November to April brings fine weather coincides with the high tourist season. The southwest monsoon from May to October is often wet and rainy. However, this period provides the best surf.

ACCOMMODATION TYPES

There are 9 cabins in total: 2 Ocean View suites and 7 Superior twin or double cabins. Both suites are on the upper deck while there are 6 Superior cabins on the lower deck and 1 on the middle deck. All cabins have air-conditioning, private ensuite bathrooms, TVs and minibars.

The superior cabins are all 2 share and the suites have 1 double and 1 single bed plus the benefit of large windows with elevated views of the beautiful Maldivian scenery.

CATERING

High quality dining on board Honors Legacy is considered an essential component of the cruise experience. The menu consists of a variety of different cuisines include Italian, Thai, Maldivian and Sri Lankan as well as international dishes and a weekly island BBQ.

There are always snacks and drinks available 24 hours a day and free of charge, plus drinks can be purchased from the bar. Meals are served buffet style 3 times a day. Vegetarians and those with other dietary requirements should give advance notice to allow the operator to prepare ingredients.

The typical Maldivian wave rolls up like most point breaks with workable corners, fun pockets and long rides. Very rarely will the sets wall up or close out the channels. The waves break on mostly dead reef, and very rarely will you come in contact with it unless you are surfing on a very low tide. A Maldives surfing charter is one of the best ways to experience the many different waves and breaks.

The Honors Legacy’s Spa is located on the upper deck.
In this serene environment you can choose your massage treatment according to your preferences.
This SPA room is the best way to indulge yourself after a day of hard work in the water; diving, sunbathing or snorkeling.

Diving
The Maldives is tropical all year round and water temperatures range from 27°C to 29°C. Divers have the opportunity to see a huge range of beautiful hard and soft corals as well as the famous manta rays, whale sharks, sharks, turtles, barracudas, jacks and tuna.

Fishing
Big game fishing in Maldives
Big game fishing in Maldives depends on the weather condition and fishing location. To catch big game like sailfish, marlin, barracuda, yellowfish tuna, wahoo, swordfish and many other big fishes, outside the atoll morning time is suitable for fishing.

Night Fishing in Maldives
Night fishing in Maldives is the most famous type of fishing. You can catch snappers, emperors, barracuda, squirrel fish and jacks during night fishing. Amidst the sparkling breathtaking view, night fishing is a treat for fishing buffs.

Seasonal conditions

The best time for Maldives surfing trips is the Southern Hemisphere winter, which lasts from March ’til October. During this period, the roaring forties cause storms which bring the largest swells to the archipelago. The biggest waves are likely to occur in June, July and August.

Crowd factor and local people

Crowding can sometimes be an issue because of the relatively easy access of the breaks, courtesy of the many boats in this rich wave zone and due to the resorts that shuttle surfers out to the breaks.
