We pack our schedule full of activities like surf trips, waterfall adventures, beach volleyball tournaments, sunset cocktails, beach parties and even boat parties. This is not your average surf retreat, and if you’re only looking for a quiet week sunning solo by the beach this may not be the place for you. Surf
The best and fastest way to learn surfing. Learning to surf can be difficult at the best of times. Unfortunately, often what holds us back in our surfing can’t be fixed by simply trying harder, and even with the best coaching improvement can take years. Our curriculum attacks the art of surfing from every angle – we combine wave theory & ocean mechanics classes with slow-mo video analysis and a homegrown surf-specific physical preparation method we call Surfitness.
We believe that only a complete approach that helps you:
1. Improve your theoretical knowledge and how to read waves yourself;
2. Practice good technique under proper supervision; and
3. Increase your physical capacity in order to surf longer and safer, can empower you to continue to improve not just while staying at our camp, but every single time you get in the water.
You will walk away from a week at Lanka Living not only a better surfer, but with an in-depth knowledge of how to keep improving and break through plateaus on your own.

Activities: At Lanka Living, we’re all about having a good time. We plan afternoon activities several times a week, with everything from beach volleyball tournaments & sunset cocktails to road trips and sightseeing. Plenty more games and trips are organized on the fly, but rest assured there’s always something exciting going on!
Trips: We’re serious about surf at Lanka Living and spend most of our time on surf-related activities, but we still like to get away and combine a bit of sightseeing when we can. We normally plan one full-day squad trip – sometimes to beautiful, secluded beaches further along the coast, others to inland waterfalls. We don’t want to ruin the surprise for you, so chat with us when you book your retreat about squad trips!

At our Lanka Living Retreats you are not locked into rigid packages. Our schedule gives you the freedom to explore by yourself as well. SURF COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
SURF COURSE DETAILS
We divide our classes into Level 1 and Level 2, so that you can get the coaching that’s right for you, and surf at breaks best suited to your skill level. We’ll chat to you about your experience when booking the retreat.It’s common for surfers to move from Level 1 to 2 when they’re ready, and for Level 2s to move to Level 1 on bigger swell days or just to hone the fundamentals – our instructors are focused on setting you up to take the most waves, be safe in the water and have the most fun, so listen to their guidance!
