In Playa Avellanas there are 5 world class breaks for all levels and possibility to surf truly uncrowded waves. Water temperature stays at 78F/25C year round.

CAMP CHARACTER

Tao caters to those that want an all inclusive type of surf trip. We take any age participants, solo surfers, couples, all girl trips, all guy trips, family surf trips, and everything in between. The only goal is to get you surfing until you can't. We surf on the tide in the morning when nobody can get there that early and the afternoon glass off. Teaching proper technique and the confidence you need to excel to your next level of surfing. We use our surf photos and video as a teaching aid to assist in the process aswell as a class room portion where we go over all the necessary information needed. Leaving you to relax and enjoy as you learn to surf. Romantic settings for those couples and privacy for those surfing alone and authentic area you can emerse yourself into the beauty around on your free time. Take a plunge in the salt water swimming pool and relax under the waterfall.

Tao Destinations is a family run surf school using all the job experiences from a life time. Tao has been teaching surfing for over 30 years starting at Zuma Jays Surf Shop Malibu, California and around the world. When he is was not surfing he was working in 5 Star Restaurants like The Caribou Club in Aspen, Colorado during the winters where he would compete in Us Extreme Championships, to Christians In Nantucket, Massachusetts while surfing the hurricane season back East, and then making his way to Spagos in Beverly Hills, California. Working one job a day wasn't ever enough to survive so he would work in construction during the day that would later lead to him building multi million dollar homes in San Diego and strip clubs in Cabo San Lucas. The whole time he would also build and race pro 1/4 mile and time attack racing. Tao Destinations Surf Resort Playa Avellanas is a collaboration of all his past experiences rolled up in to one. With the help of his wife Rubi they have created Mexican / French Fusion cuisine that is unmatched in the area.
