Superb! My experience in Portugal was full of “pinch me, this can’t be real” moments. I never expected that arriving at a hostel in a surf town would also inspire that feeling. The Aktion in Ericeira is the most mind blowing hostel I’ve ever stayed at. It feels more like being at a modern luxury resort. - The staff and volunteers were chill, kind, and friendly. The view is great. The building, rooms and space in general are really cool and clean. Everything about this hostel is impressive. I’d recommend!

Highly recommended. Will definitely come back! This hostel is new, sparkling clean, spacious with great design and a beautiful view. The beds were cosy and rooms had nice little details like individual bed light, plugs and lockers. The common areas were nicely laid out, with great spots to sit outside in the sunshine or by the pool. There was also a well stocked shop to buy drinks and snacks and a lovely breakfast with toast/cake/cereal/ fruit and juices/coffee/tea. Great! The best part was the staff, they were super friendly and went out of their way to take care of me, even picking me up from the station when I couldn’t get a taxi. I felt at home there and really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended. Will definitely come back!

The Chillest Hostel EVER! Aktion Ericeira Surf Hostel was just completely beyond our expectations! The rooms are huge, the beds are super comfy and each room has its own bathroom! The staff was super nice and was always ready to help with whatever we needed. But of course, the best part of our stay was at the end of the day, chilling out in the pool (yes, they have a pool, how crazy is that?) and watching the beautiful sunset holding a caipirinha! ;) The surfing lessons were so much fun! The instructor was super nice and careful with all of us which made us feel really safe since this was our first time surfing. LOVED IT! The hostel was just one short walk away from the beautiful village of Ericeira that had so much to do and see!

If you wonna sleep at night don’t go there Accomodation is ok, not good not bad. You can hear every noice in your room. Surft once with this hotel. Lesson whas delayed and taken to another beach. Bad organisation They have this ‘no noice after 22 h polacy’ wich really does NOT exist. Other guest are rude, loud and disrespectfull. Went to the reception two times because of it, didn’t do anything about it. Just totally not worth the good ratings and the price. If you like to drink and be loud an rude all night, this is the place to go.

CAMP CHARACTER
Relaxed hostel where you may practice several activities from surf to yoga, biking, hiking or simply read and rest. Animals are not permitted. Common area is equipeed with pool table, ping pong, playstation and a lot of other activities.

PRAIA DO SUL - Perfect spot when all other spots are huge, rightander wave, ideal for beginners and intermediate surfers, 7 min walking distance from the hostel
PRAIA DOS PESCADORES - Rightander wave, sand bottom, ideal for beginners, 10 min walking distance from the hostel
PRAIA DO NORTE - Long rightander, good option for beginners, the wave is not too fast and it's easy to drop. 15 min walking distance from the hostel
FOZ DO LIZANDRO - Sand bottom, several peaks, perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers, cowded in the summer, 30 min walking distance from the hostel
PRAIA DA MATADOURA - Several peaks that vary in quality, good option for a nice reef surf, take care with the rocks in the low tide, 25 min walking distance from the hostel
PEDRA BRANCA - Tubular left peak, very consistent because of its rock bottom, ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers, 30 min walking distance from the hostel
REEF - Tubular rightander reef break, the waves are fast and break directly in the reef, ideal for advanced surfers, 35 min walking distance from the hostel
RIBEIRA D´ILHAS - The most famous beach in Ericeira and one of the most consistent breaks, boosts a very long rightander, mostly quite crowded, there are peaks for all levels, 40 min walking distance from the hostel
CAVE - Is one of the heaviest waves iin Ericeira, a rihtander wave, just for advanced surfers, 1h walking distance from the hostel
COXOS - One of the most famous rightanders in Europe, can produce ome amazing barrels, ideal for advanced surfers, 1h 15min walking distance from the hostel
Experienced surfers can choose from 15 surf spots located on 8 km of coastline! A 1 hour drive gets you to the giant beach breaks of Peniche.
Ericeira is a very consistent year-round surf destination.
In the months of June, July, August and September there is a beach bus that takes you directly to most of the surf spots.
